Michael Connell

I'm a graduate student at the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science . I am part of the NuMesh group. Currently I am working on the next generation of our compiler tools. My work involves the design and implementation of Bullfrog (our network description language), the Bullfrog compiler, and an extensible, modular, graphical front end for Bullfrog to enable NuMesh programmers to quickly and easily construct NuMesh applications using drag-and-drop and point-and-click operations. This work is being done with Professor Steve Ward who is part of the Computer Architecture Group.

In addition to designing system software, I have many interests, none of which is sports. If you are a baseball or a football fan, you are out of luck, though my future brother-in-law, David Shoemaker, claims he can be of help there. Sharing of financial success based on his picks will be ignored. Stories of financial failure will be used to heckle, taunt, and deride Shoe shamelessly, and are therefore solicited.

The easiest way to get in touch with me is through my e-mail address: mwconnel@piranha.lcs.mit.edu.
